ASPSF announces finalists for 2024 Outstanding Partner Awards

Statens NonProfit Arkansa’s single parent Scholarship Fund (ASPF) is happy to share the finalists to its outstanding partner awards.

In the second year, this award program recognizes the excellent philanthropy, corporate and school partners for their extraordinary generosity and commitment to the success of single parents.

ASPSF announces the winners on October 17 during the lunch break, NonProfit’s annual fundraiser in Little Rock at the City Center. Tickets are available at aspsf.org/lunchbreak.

Congratulations to the following:

Excellent philanthropy -Partner finalists: Edelma Simes from West Helena, Freda Calloway from Monticello and Mary Kate Snow from Benton.

Excellent corporate partner finalists: Simmons Bank, Southern Bancorp and Wear & Share Inc.

Excellent School Partner Finalists, Registration Over 2,500: Texarkana College, University of Arkansas by Little Rock and University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College.

Excellent School Partner Finalists, Enrollment Under 2,500: Arkansas Northeastern College, East Arkansas Community College and North Arkansas College

“I want to expand heartfelt congratulations to all finalists,” said Jenn Morehead, CEO of ASPSF. “Your support has been invaluable in changing single parents in Arkansas. We are inspired by your dedication and the positive influence you have made. A big thank you to all the nominees too – you are all masters of change, and together we make a real difference in our society.”

ASPSF accepted award nominations from society between 8-19 July. A five-person committee committee for ASPSF supporters scored all 40 nominations to determine the top three finalists in each category. More information about the process is available here: Aspsf.org/awards.

In addition to celebrating the award winners, the lunch break will also include inspirational stories from 2011 fellowship recipient Kwami Abdul-Bey, a candidate for Arkansas House District 69 in Central Arkansas and 2024 fellow recipient Briana Boen, a lone parent student working on his bachelor’s degree at Arkansas Tech University. Demand of Dr. Shore West-Scantlebury from Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, the event includes a zero-waste lunch to invest in a brighter future for everyone.
