ASPSF welcomes Jenn more head as new CEO

Arkansa’s single parent Scholarship Fund (ASPF) proudly announces Jenn Morehead as his new CEO.

With 17 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Morehead will lead the state organization in his mission to end single parent poverty through higher education. She begins her new position on May 6th.

Morehead joins aspf after serving as director of development at Hendrix College, where she has played a central role in the Office of Advancement since 2015. In particular, Morehead was a key member in the development team who raised a historic $ 150 million to Hendrix in A time to lead Capital campaign.

Morehead is former president of the Children’s Advocacy Alliance Board of Director. She earlier in the Conway Public Schools Foundation Board, where she was a member of the Executive Committee, who hired the initial director of the organization. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

“I am convinced that Jenn’s experience of strategic planning, donor relationships and management will successfully guide us through this transitional period and Poise us for continued success in the future,” said ASPSF board president Sunshine Bartlett of the Arrest Bank.

NonProfit’s third CEO since 1990, Morehead Ruthanne Hill, who retires, succeeds and Ralph Nesson, who founded the organization with Marjorie Marugg-Wolfe. A search committee that includes ASPF board members, staff and donors worked with Moran Company, a professional executive search company, to find and choose a new manager.

“ASPSF has an incredible purpose, and it is clear to see that the staff and the board are working hard to reach its mission,” Morehead said. “I am excited to bring a fresh perspective and knowledge to build on its strong foundation and help grow the organization.”

Morehead, native to northeast Arkansas, calls Conway home with her husband, Jeremy, two children and rescue dogs. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in gender studies. She also has a master’s degree in university students’ staff services from Arkansa’s State University, where she was elected to Phi Kappa Phi.
