Letter of the CEO: March 2025

Tikima is dressed in her hood and dress with her two boys

Dear Friends,

I want to share Tikima’s story. She is a purposeful, single mother who received one of our scholarships.

Tikima trained last fall. But her journey was not easy – just like others awaiting scholarships. That’s why I am writing you today.

Tikima has two energetic little boys. Before her scholarship she had to make Hard choice between food and gas to get her children to school or continue her education. Her family always won. Resources for school just weren’t available.

Aspsf Alumna Tikima trained with her bachelor’s degree last fall. Today she works full time at National Park College as a admission specialist.

When Tikima learned about Arkansa’s single parent Scholarship finding, she was very happy. She might think it was possible for her dream to come true. She could get an education, a good job and provide for her family.

Right now we have a waiting list of people who need help paying for their education. That’s why I write this letter. Don’t want to help make another single parent’s dream come true?

Tikima is trained with an associate degree from National Park College in 2022. Last fall, she received her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. Today she is a recording specialist at National Park College.

It is only when you give that single parents can receive help to pursue higher education.

Tikima has a career she never imagined. She credit supporters like you with opening doors and gives her the opportunity to achieve things she once thought was out of reach.

But Tikima’s story does not end with her education and new careers. She is now giving back on volunteering here in Arkansa’s single parent scholarship find. She helps other single parents reach their dreams Like she did.

Your gift today can really break a generation curse of unemployment or under -employment. With your gift, a single parent does not need to choose from to put food on the table, pay the rent or promote their education.

Tikima is proof of what your support can do. You can change a life! And the life you change can also open doors for their children to have brighter futures.
