The pair met in a British title duel on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol and it delivered drama again.

Wardley stunned the boxing world when he flew out of the traps and hammered Clarke with a right hand.

His rival was in a world of trouble, crumbling to the canvas after an onslaught of thunderbolts left him down in the corner of the ring.

The fight was sensationally stopped by the referee, with Clarke not having recovered from the major injury.

It was a seriously impressive statement win for Wardley, who walked home with the British heavyweight title for the second time.

Pictures showed after the match that Clarke was left with a huge bump on his head.

His jaw turned sideways and the British heavyweight looked bad during the KO.

The doctors rushed to the ring and took care of him and gave him the necessary treatment after the concussion.

Fortunately, he climbed to his feet and greeted Wardley after the final bell, to the delight of the boxing crowd.

Johnny Nelson remarked ringside, “I’ve never seen such a knockout and such a reaction on a fighter’s face.

“It was terrifying.”

Promoter Frank Warren later confirmed that Clarke had suffered a suspected broken cheekbone.

The heavyweight encounter began at a slightly less frenetic pace than their opening encounter, with both Wardley and Clarke trying to find their rhythm early on.

But all of a sudden, Wardley opened up and landed a pounding right hand through guard that stunned Clarke, who was out on his feet.

Then Clarke sensationally had no idea where he was and suffered a serious concussion as Wardley detonated another huge volley of shots.

‘Big Fraze’ was thrown to the seat by his boxer shorts and the referee looked closely at the former Olympian.

Wardley was delighted with the result and called for a trip to world glory after the quick victory.

“That’s a big question. I want belts and I want titles. I want them that say the world on them.

“Those who are side by side with me, I will take them all on. We will have to be back here and compete for them in Saudi Arabia.

“There’s something in the air over here, maybe it’s the coffee. Every time His Excellency wants me back and Uncle Frank calls me.”
