There is good news and bad news for PlayStation Plus subscribers as fans await the release of the new games for November 2024.
The bad news is that the next batch of PS Plus Essentials is far from being revealed by Sony.
Due to the way the days fall, the November 2024 free PS4 and PS5 games won’t be announced until 4.30pm BST UK time on October 30.
Subscribers will have to wait almost another full week for the games to be released, launching on the morning of November 5th.
The good news, of course, is that you have plenty of time to redeem the current crop of games, which are among the best of the year so far.
October’s free games are headlined by WWE 2K24, which is a huge improvement over previous entries in the long-running series.
After a rocky few years, WWE 2K24 is a nice return to form, with a huge roster of wrestlers, both past and present.
Showcase mode, meanwhile, features some of the most famous matches and moments from Wrestlemania.
“Join the biggest superstars in sports entertainment as WWE 2K24 presents a retelling of WrestleMania’s biggest moments from the past 40 years,” reads the official description.
“Participate in some of wrestling’s most unforgettable and career-defining matches, choosing from the likes of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Undertaker and Andre the Giant alongside current contenders ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Rhea Ripley and Roman Reigns .”
It also adds new battle types to the mix, including ambulance battles where the goal is to send your opponent off in an ambulance.
That’s on top of all the returning game modes and battles, including Universe mode, MyGM and more.
WWE 2K24 is joined by horror game Dead Space Remastered and spooky interactive novel Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!
Dead Space is a terrifying remake of the PS3 original, complete with improved graphics, new content and superior audio.
“Isaac Clarke is an ordinary engineer on a mission to repair a large minesweeper, the USG Ishimura, only to discover that something has gone horribly wrong. The ship’s crew has been slaughtered and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, is lost somewhere table.
“Now alone and armed only with his technical tools and skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura unravels around him. Trapped with hostile creatures called Necromorphs, Isaac faces a fight for survival, not only against escalating horrors for the ship, but his own crumbling sanity.”
Finally Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is a psychological horror game where players try to find romance.
All of the aforementioned games are available for redemption until November 5th, so make sure you don’t miss out.
