UWM customers soon earn cart points for on-time mortgage payments

It looks like the rumors were right. You will soon be able to earn Bilt -Points when you make your monthly mortgage payment.

Today, UWM and Billt announced preliminary details of their partnerships coming on the heels of a $ 100 investment in the housing loyalty program back in July.

While we only know a little so far, we know that UWM customers will earn Bilt-Points when they take time periods on time.

This is expanding the Bilt platform to priority loans as it currently only rewards tenants to make rental payments on time each month.

UWM customers also have access to exclusive neighborhood benefits and special offers from more than 40,000 local grocers nationwide.

Earn Bilt Points to just pay the mortgage loan each month

As noted, we do not know all program specifications yet, as the couple said will begin a “phase roll -out” in early 2026.

But we know that if you are a total wholesale customer, you will soon be able to earn Bilt Points when you pay the mortgage loan.

This seems to be working in the same way as their current car points for rent, where you earn a point for every dollar of rent.

For example, someone who pays $ 2,500 per Month in rent, 2,500 BILT points each month. However, this program requires you to open Bilt MasterCard.

And you must make at least five transactions each declaration period to earn points on your rent. It is also uncovered to 100,000 points max annually.

It is unclear how the new Bilt/UWM partnership works and if you need to open a car credit card.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a requirement beyond just being UWM -Realkredit customer.

In addition, you should probably use x amounts per Month or make x transactions per Month to earn points for mortgage payments.

However, the difference is that rent is actually paid via Bilt MasterCard, while you cannot make mortgage payments with a credit card.

Instead, there will probably be an event where your monthly priority amount earns points, but is paid through your typical method, such as a control account.

This is how Rival Mesa does it. They assign you points for the mortgage payment every month, but you pay it as usual, not with their Mesa house owners credit card.

You simply tell them your monthly priority amount so as long as you spend at least $ 1,000 in non-PR. MORTGAGE EVERY MONTH, you earn one point per Dollar.

So if the priority amount you enter (and verify), says $ 3,000, you earn 3,000 Mesa points each month as long as you spend $ 1,000 on Mesa’s affiliated credit card.

I can imagine that Bilt will put everything similarly to make sure they actually make money on the deal.

UWM customers can also earn billed points to get a priority loan

The joint press release also said you will be able to “earn a bill -point point under origin.”

While it is not clear what it means, it can correspond to Mesa Mortgage that rewards its customers with a point for every dollar of their loan amount.

So if you are a car member and you are working with a UWM-approved mortgage broker to get your priority loan, you may also earn a point per Dollar on the loan amount.

Just note that this partnership is a bit unique because UWM is a wholesale loan, which means they do not work directly with the public.

Instead, work with an independent mortgage broker who happens to be approved with UWM and who chooses to send your loan to UWM instead of another wholesale speller.

Assuming they do, you may be able to earn additional Bilt Rewards points.

Apart from the point earned, each home loan via UWM is integrated with BILT benefits.

This includes access to exclusive neighborhood benefits and special offers from 40,000+ local grocers nationwide.

At the other end of things, Bilt’s Home Purchase Platform will enable its members “instantly to discover housing based on all-in pricing.”

So my guess is that there will be a kind of lead funnel that sends Bilt’s rents to UWM if and when they decide to jump to home ownership.

Something is similar to how Redfin users are now sent to Rocket Mortgage for a home loan.
